It was 2018 when we first met with the Czech registry to discuss the option of adding eIDAS to our public-facing web interfaces with the goal of strengthening the identification of our registrants and contacts.

In 2020, six organisations came together to begin work on RegeID, a project that aims to support the integration of the eID Digital Service Infrastructure.

On 6 October, members of the RegeID project team joined registries and registrars from across Europe to present the RegeID project and call for input at CENTR’s Registrar Day.

Offering foreign citizens to use the same advantages as locals when managing their domains is the main aim of the new RegeID project.
